Grand Master Larry Wells, Sr., 9th Degree Black Belt and his wife Chief Master Denise Wells, 8th Degree Black Belt have over 40 years of experience in Martial Arts instruction.
Grand Master Larry Wells, Sr. has studied the martial arts since the age of 5yrs old and has taught martial arts in Tulsa community for 40 years. He is a Master in the Korean discipline of Tae Kwon Do and he also holds Black Belts in the Japanese discipline of GoJu Ryu and Tang Soo Do. Grand Master Wells' philosophy is "always be a student and never stop learning". He currently practices the filipino art of Eskrima/Kali stick fighting under Guru Dan Inosanto and is a master of open hand and close combat self defense.
Chief Master Denise Wells has won numerous competitions as a regional and national forms competitor. She began her martial arts training in Northern California at the age of 17 yrs old. She is also a strong self defense practitioner who along with Grand Master Wells enjoys teaching their AWARE self defense seminars to high school students and various church and civic groups.
Larry Wells Jr is a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is senior instructor at L.K. Wells Martial Arts- Oklahoma City. He is a national and international competitor who has won numerous championships and conducts sparring seminars for all ages. Mr. Wells has trained various NBA and NFL players in their off seasons with his unique teaching style for cardio and endurance. Along with his parents Mr. Wells hosts the Whirlwind Classic Martial Arts Tournament which in the last 25 years has grown into the largest tournament of its kind in Oklahoma.
